MOVE TO SARASOTA
Why should you move to Sarasota?
You have a lot of choices when it comes to getting out of the cold up north and moving to Florida. Sarasota has so many amenities and real estate options, it would be hard for anyone to go wrong by moving here.
Q: Why is Sarasota different?
A: Sarasota County has some of the top schools in the state. For it's size, we have a lot of cultural attractions besides the beaches. When it comes to dining, we have the highest per-capita number of locally owned 4-star restaurants.
Q: Where's the closest beach?
A: Lido Beach is about 10 minutes from downtown. Siesta Key beach is 15-20 minutes from most areas in Sarasota.
Q: What's the real estate market like in Sarasota?
A: We experience high demand because we attract not just snowbirds, but a large and affluent global clientele. Real estate has become more of a year round business, and the more affordable properties are usually multiple offer.
Q: I've read that Sarasota is getting congested. What's traffic like?
A: Because of all our attractions, Sarasota is growing and with that comes more traffic. If you've ever experienced traffic on the east coast of Florida, ours is a fraction of that.
Q: What is there to do in Sarasota?
A: Beaches, art festivals, farmer's market, symphony, Sarasota Film Festival, July 4th boat races, you name it. Check out visitsarasota.org
for a full list.
Q: I hear that the population of Sarasota is older. Is it good for families?
A: The average age of Sarasota County is 45. With the best schools in the state, families feel right at home here.
Q: What is crime like in Sarasota?
A: It's against the law for Realtors to discuss crime or give opinions on it, but I can direct you to visit www.sarasotasheriff.org
